Vistage Chair Since 2016
“Vistage is centered around the principles of continuous learning, personal growth, and self-awareness. Members work together to make better decisions, achieve greater results, become more effective leaders, and live more fulfilling lives. Business leaders learn and grow by listening and working on each other's issues, challenges, and opportunities. For each members' individual challenge, I help bring forth 15 to 18 different experiences and perspectives that lead to valuable insight and ultimately to better outcomes.”
You could say business coaching is in Joe Sadler's very fiber as a person. The newest Chief Executive Group Chair for Vistage Michigan, Sadler has more than 35 years of experience in streamlining operations, process improvement and implementing change management methodologies across a broad range of industries and organizational structures.
Founder and president of Michigan-based SaTech Logistics, Inc. and SaTech Services, LLC, Joe credits his work across industries that include healthcare, automotive, retail, financial and IT as helping learn what makes all good businesses "tick." Typically, Sadler's client engagements resulted in 15-35 percent cost reductions and received a 6 to 12 month return on investment.
Joe believes that organizational skills and team participation are critical elements in achieving sustainable change. Once leadership establishes direction and goals, success relies on addressing the tangible concerns of team members while developing, evaluating and assessing alternatives with the team.
Moreover, as Joe says, "The best clients are those who take ownership of the ideas we develop together. I might steer concepts initially, but they must drive the business change and hold themselves accountable to achieve long-term sustainable change."
In addition to the leadership aspects of business development, at SaTech Logistics and SaTech Services, Joe was able to demonstrate the value of applying Six Sigma, Lean, business analytics and other statistical and mathematical tools to many functional business areas, including transportation, distribution, operations, financial controls and customer relations.
A resident of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Joe earned a MBA in Healthcare Administration from Oakland University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University.
Joe's professional memberships and honors include the American Society for Quality, of which he is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt; the American College of Health Care Executives, of which he is a Fellow; and the Michigan Society for Healthcare Planning and Marketing.
